On April 24 the Woody Guthrie Center will be opening a new exhibit that allows visitors to truly experience the power of a Dust Bowl storm through virtual reality technology. Guests and students will step back in time through this multi-sensory experience to fully understand events that affected those living in the region. Since this was a man-made disaster, it also provides an opportunity to explore the way people affect the environment.
On April 7, Mary Larson, Associate Dean of Special Collections at Oklahoma State University, will present a talk and discussion called "At Home in the Dust Bowl: Oklahomans Remember the Dirty Thirties." The program is free with admission to the Center
