Future Poet Laureate Joy Harjo will give a lecture, including a performance of her work.As a native and current Oklahoman, Ms. Harjo's work both captures place and demonstrates the heights that Oklahomans can achieve in their creative work. As a member of the Muscogee Creek nation, and soon to be first Native Amercan Poet Laureate, Ms. Harjo's work has a cutural resonance that's uniquely suited to the audience. As a poet of singular ability, her work appeals to all who delight in the craft of poetry at the highest level. 

The lecture is open to all and is free.
