Presenter Minoma Littlehawk-Sills will discuss the historical and human aspects of the struggles of Native American people from the late 19th century to the present at this free and open-to-the-public event, sponsored in part by Oklahoma Humanities. 

Ms. Littlehawk-Sills represents her Cheyenne and Arapaho ancestors and will discuss her heritage and family oral histories from the Sand Creek Massacre, the Battle of the Washita, and the Battle of Little Bighorn. Dr. Deena Fisher of Northwestern Oklahoma State University will introduce the program by providing historical insight on the rich history of the Plains Indians.
